Phlebotomist

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in Matthews, NC at either a Patient Service Center or Client Office. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing venipuncture and capillary specimen collections, data entry, billing, and specimen preparation. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient data accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program. Three months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications Six months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification must be from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexible to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
