Project Engineer - Mission Critical

Project Engineer Job Description: Work with the National Mission Critical team to assist in the completion of designated projects focusing on learning Ryan processes, procedures, and business policies. Responsibilities Help generate Requests for Information (RFIs) and track approvals. Monitor and maintain shop drawing log and coordinate shop drawings. Learn project dimensional control requirements while field‑verifying dimensions to back‑check the shop drawing approval process. Assist in coordinating and tracking vendor and subcontractor deliveries. Learn and apply Ryan Safety Policies and Procedures. Gain an understanding of overall site logistics. Participate in and understand the city and jurisdictional permit inspection process. Keep office and jobsite plans updated with RFIs and ASIs. Accompany Ryan personnel (and Owner) on punchlist inspections, record punchlist items, and monitor completion of punchlist work. Participate in preparing and updating the project schedule. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management or a related field. 1+ year of experience in commercial construction. Willingness to travel as needed to execute projects. General knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, and cost coding systems. Experience with Construction Management Software (e.g., Procore). Design‑build commercial construction experience. Verification of eligibility to work in the U.S. Compensation Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000. The base rate may vary within this range based on location and the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation including commission and/or an incentive program.
