Your future role at a glance Location: Indianapolis, IN Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Lucas Family Brain and Spine Department/Specialty: Inpatient, Critical Care Unit ICU Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift, 3x12 with rotating weekends How you'll make an impact in this role Lead the delivery of high quality, coordinated neurological and spine care for all complex neurosurgical and spine patients to ensure immediate intervention during critical changes in neurological status. Enhance the patient experience by coordinating across all medical disciplines to provide seamless, accessible care that accelerates the recovery journey. Execute physician and nursing treatment plans with precision to maintain the clinical excellence and safety standards required for a destination Center of Excellence. Communicate real-time updates on patient progress to the healthcare team and families, fostering a transparent and well-informed environment for critical decision‑making. Prepare patients and their families for life after the ICU by managing discharge logistics early, ensuring a safe and supportive transition through the coordinated care network. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. What additional requirements you'll need Critical Care experience.
