Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | 4 x 9-hour shifts per week with occasional extended hours for emergent cases

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Cardiac Cath Lab environment supporting 4–20 cases per day across 6 suites, serving as the circulating RN in a 3-person team (1 RN and 2 RTRs)
• Care for patients presenting with diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, heart failure, congenital conditions, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular cases
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythm strips and titrate drips as needed throughout procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation including 6–8 weeknight call shifts per month and weekend call coverage approximately every 6–7 weeks (Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 6:00 AM)
• Serve as charge nurse when on call, coordinating cases and responding to emergent situations
• Utilize facility EMR and monitoring equipment including EPIC, GE and Philips monitors, and McKesson systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Experience titrating drips in a procedural or critical care setting
• Ability to pass a drug screen; must comply with a drug-free workplace policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology (EP) setting
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
• Experience in interventional radiology (IR) that may allow for occasional cross-coverage
