About the Opportunity The Applications Programmer will aid in the development of interactive cognitive assessments and training programs aimed at understanding and improving cognition. Under direct supervision, the candidate applies professional software concepts and procedures to small projects or portions of projects, resolving routine programming problems and assisting with design issues. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, development, modification, and debugging of software for research‑related cognitive assessments, from design and development to maintenance and support. Formulate logic for basic systems, prepare basic specifications, and perform coding. Participate in game development for brain‑training games, including programming, software management, distribution, and coordination with research activities. Execute simple test plans, develop conversion and system implementation plans, and implement unit tests. Apply source code control and configuration management practices. Prepare system and programming documentation; communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical constituents. Assist with project coordination when required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s (BA/BS) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field. One to three years of academic or professional experience in programming. Proficiency in C#, Unity (C#), and/or C++ with network programming experience. Experience in video game development, software organization, management, and version control. Position Type Research Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 108S. Expected hiring range: $60,315.00 – $85,192.50.
