Overview American Horse Council (AHC) and United Horse Coalition (UHC) invite applications for the Spring 2026 Internship Program, offering students and emerging professionals a live experience in the national equine industry. The internship runs 12‑16 weeks (February to May) with flexible remote options and limited on‑site work in Washington, D.C. The internship is supervised by AHC/UHC staff; interns may earn academic credit or a weekly stipend of up to $125 based on project commitment. Projects typically require 10–20 hours per week and no prior horse‑industry experience is needed. Responsibilities Maintain the UHC online repository (UHCERD), verifying and updating assistance programs available for horse owners. Validate and assess database content on a regular basis. Compile reports on additions, changes, and deletions to inform the industry about levels of change. Conduct research and manage data related to the repository. Qualifications Motivated student or emerging professional with an interest in the equine industry. Strong research, data management, and communication skills.
