Position Title: Data Center Technician
Location: Canton, MS / Ridgeland, MS
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Schedule:

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 5:30 PM–3:30 AM
• Front Half: Sunday–Wednesday
• Back Half: Wednesday–Saturday

Position Summary

The Data Center Technician will provide hands-on technical support for data center hardware, network infrastructure, and cabling. This role will troubleshoot hardware and network issues, maintain documentation, support system administration tasks, and assist with data center projects.

The ideal candidate will have IT/network experience, strong troubleshooting skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. Being easily coachable and having a great personality are important for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, network, and infrastructure issues.
• Install, maintain, and support data center equipment.
• Troubleshoot and support network cabling.
• Perform basic to intermediate system administration tasks.
• Maintain technical documentation.
• Support small projects and assist with larger projects.
• Escalate complex issues when needed.
• Work independently while following established procedures.
• Support and share technical knowledge with junior team members.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ year of IT, network support, troubleshooting, or cabling experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Easily coachable with a positive attitude.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and take direction when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• A+, CCNA, CompTIA, OSHA, or Cisco certification.
• Linux experience.
• Data center experience.
• Server or network hardware experience.
• Cabling or infrastructure experience.
