Registered Nurse - Inpatient Rehab

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12 hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30), every 3rd weekend, and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Rehab department will provide specialized care for patients with rehabilitation needs, including those recovering from CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, and neurological conditions. This role involves working with patients who require customized rehabilitation approaches.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage patient health assessments.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and create care plans in coordination with interdisciplinary teams.
• Perform vital sign checks, dressing changes, and set up sterile procedure trays.
• Engage in patient triage and respond to pharmacy calls and refill requests.
• Interpret laboratory results and manage patient health questionnaires.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of acute care rehabilitation experience required.
• Active RN license required for submission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Experience with the EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Pass a mandatory EKG exam as a condition of compliance.
