Join us as a Senior Cloud Engineer at our main sites, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleAs a Senior Cloud Engineer you will be providing technical leadership within Cloud Engineering projects and programmes working at the forefront of enabling secure, scalable and mission-critical cloud capabilities.Day-to-day, you will work closely with project managers and supporting the development winning proposals and the delivering cloud solutions.Your responsibilities will include:Leading project teams to deliver solutions managing and guiding junior staff to deliver solutions for new and existing customersProviding technical leadership for the delivery of programme, project and bidding activitiesSupporting the development of cloud staff in their technical disciplines and supporting resourcing decisionsDeveloping design certifications, technical delivery plans, high level documentation, detailed design documentation and testing schedulesUnderstanding marketing requirements and future technology developments applying them to technical solutionsPerforming complex engineering/technical assignments developing creative and practical solutions to customer problemsEssential experience of the Senior Cloud Engineer:Previous experience as a Cloud Engineer with a strong knowledge of AWS cloud servicesThe ability to develop and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform)Proven experience leading, mentoring or managing technical delivery teamsThe ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicating with non-technical audiencesPrevious experience working within Agile Delivery environmentsProven experience delivering cloud projects end-to-endEssential qualifications for the Senior Cloud Engineer:We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per week based at any of our main sites.
