Bridges and Structures Practice We’re looking for a skilled Sr CAD Technician who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to the design and construction of vital transportation structures—bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and more. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, using cutting‑edge tools and software to turn concepts into reality. What You’ll Do Produce detailed CADD drawings, layouts, and graphics for a variety of transportation structures including reinforced concrete, pre‑stressed concrete, and steel designs. Translate engineering markups into polished construction documents, maintaining precision and consistency. Use state‑of‑the‑art software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Power InRoads, Civil3D and Open Roads Designer. Support design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers using industry standards such as AASHTO. Maintain structured drawing files, adhere to company drafting standards, and support project‑specific standards as needed. Collaborate through file‑sharing systems like ProjectWise and participate in quality assurance reviews. Track quantities, update contract drawings, and contribute to project success within scope, budget, and schedule. What You Bring Required Qualifications 10+ years of drafting experience with a focus on bridge or structural engineering projects. Associate of Applied Science in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field. Proficiency in Power InRoads, MicroStation/open Roads, and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Preferred Qualifications Experience with transportation projects and/or Washington State Department of Transportation, local city and county projects.
