We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Cloud Engineer to provide senior-level architecture, engineering, implementation, and support for enterprise Microsoft 365 cloud services.

The position emphasizes advanced SharePoint Online engineering and the development of scalable business solutions. Additional responsibilities include Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Purview compliance engineering, Power Platform development, cloud security, automation, and support for emerging Microsoft AI technologies.

Microsoft 365 Architecture, Engineering, and Administration

• Provide senior-level engineering and administrative support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, Defender, Purview, and Power Platform.

• Design, configure, optimize, and maintain Microsoft 365 services in accordance with security requirements and Microsoft best practices.

• Develop architectural standards, governance models, operational processes, and technical documentation.

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for complex Microsoft 365 issues.

• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve efficiency and platform reliability.

• Evaluate Microsoft roadmap changes and emerging technologies to recommend platform improvements.

SharePoint Online Development and Collaboration Engineering

• Serve as a senior technical expert for advanced SharePoint Online functionality beyond traditional document management.

• Design and develop modern SharePoint sites, lists, pages, workflows, metadata structures, integrations, and business solutions.

• Collaborate with business units to translate operational requirements into scalable Microsoft 365 solutions.

• Integrate SharePoint Online with other Microsoft 365 services, Power Platform solutions, and approved third-party applications.

• Develop SharePoint governance standards, development practices, lifecycle processes, and adoption recommendations.

Microsoft Purview, Information Governance, and Compliance

• Design, implement, and administer Microsoft Purview information protection and governance capabilities.

• Develop data classification strategies, sensitivity labels, retention policies, and information lifecycle management solutions.

• Design, configure, and enhance Data Loss Prevention controls.

• Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Legal, Records Management, and business stakeholders to implement governance requirements.

• Evaluate emerging Microsoft compliance capabilities and recommend data protection improvements.

Power Platform and Microsoft Cloud Innovation

• Design, develop, and support solutions using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.

• Develop business process automation and workflow solutions integrated with Microsoft 365.

• Establish Power Platform governance, security controls, development standards, and lifecycle processes.

• Support the adoption and governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, agents, connectors, and related technologies.

• Evaluate opportunities to leverage Microsoft AI capabilities to improve business productivity and efficiency.

• Advanced experience administering and engineering enterprise Microsoft 365 environments.

• Advanced SharePoint Online development, including modern sites, lists, metadata, integrations, automation, governance, and solution architecture.

• Strong experience developing Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.

• Microsoft Purview implementation experience, including information protection, sensitivity labels, retention policies, classification, and DLP.

• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, authentication, Conditional Access, MFA, and Microsoft cloud security.

• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation experience.

• Ability to independently research, evaluate, design, and implement complex technical solutions.

• Ability to provide technical guidance, recommendations, and knowledge sharing.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, critical thinking, documentation, and organizational skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business stakeholders and leadership.

• Ability to manage multiple activities with varying priorities.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline and seven or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or technical certifications.
