Part-Time Direct Support Professional
Bay-CSS is looking for a dedicated Part-Time Direct Support Professional to join our team in Gambrills, MD. The position involves providing compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This part-time role requires working Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 9 pm, with a pay rate of $21 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with daily activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care.
- Implement individualized care plans and offer emotional support to those under your care.
- Accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and community activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of individual progress and any incidents.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for the individuals you support.
- Attend all required trainings within the specified time frame.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certification is a plus.
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding approach towards individuals with disabilities.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, car insurance, and be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
Schedule: This is a part-time position with shifts from 4 pm to 9 pm, Monday to Friday, totaling approximately 25 hours per week. The role may also involve occasional weekend shifts and attendance at required trainings.
