Apartment Maintenance Specialist – $27–$29/hr – Hiring Now

Location: St. Cloud, MN

Pay: $27–$29/hour (DOE)

Career Strategies is actively hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Specialist for a full-time opportunity in St. Cloud, MN . We are looking for a reliable, hands-on maintenance professional who can handle apartment turns, resident work orders, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs.

The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and understands the importance of providing excellent service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and daily maintenance work orders
• Perform apartment turns, make-ready work, and vacant unit preparation
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues, including faucets, toilets, drains, disposals, and leaks
• Perform basic electrical repairs involving outlets, switches, fixtures, and lighting
• Diagnose and repair common household appliances
• Complete drywall repair, patching, painting, and touch-ups
• Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and routine maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Inspect vacant apartments and ensure units are ready for move-in
• Maintain common areas, amenities, grounds, and overall property appearance
• Identify and report maintenance and safety concerns
• Communicate professionally with residents and property management staff
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards

Qualifications

• 1+ year of apartment, multifamily, residential, property, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
• Experience completing apartment turns, make-ready work, and work orders
• Strong plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and appliance repair skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance duties throughout the workday
• Dependable transportation required
• EPA Certification and HVAC experience are a plus
