Forklift Operator / Material Handler

We’re looking for a skilled Forklift Operator / Material Handler to support warehouse, production, and shipping operations at a growing manufacturer of innovative ergonomic ladder systems that improve safety for fleet vehicles.

Daily Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials throughout the facility

• Keep production lines stocked by delivering the right materials to machine operators

• Unload incoming trucks, organize inventory, and properly tag materials

• Use pick sheets (transitioning to RF scanners) to accurately pick and stage orders

• Pull pallets from racking, build orders, and deliver to assembly

• Stage and move finished goods for shipment in a timely manner

• Support shipping with tasks like Bills of Lading (BOLs) and coordinating carriers

• Perform cycle counts and inventory checks during downtime

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Required Experience

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or production setting

• Solid skills with order picking and pallet building

• Experience with shipping, receiving, and loading/unloading trucks

• Ability to read and follow pick sheets accurately

• Comfortable using basic computer systems for warehouse tasks

Nice to Have

• Experience with RF scanners (or willingness to learn)

• Experience coordinating LTL or full truckload shipments

• Experience with inventory control or cycle counting

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
