Client Service Representative - Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine Position Summary: The Shreiber School of Veterinary Medicine (SSVM) is seeking Client Service Representatives for its new veterinary teaching hospital located 1.5 miles from the main Glassboro campus. This on‑site role involves providing top‑level client service across emergency, specialty, and primary‑care departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Greet clients and pets in a professional and friendly manner. Provide excellent customer service and multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Use multiple software programs to schedule, edit, cancel, and confirm appointments. Process client calls, questions, and requests promptly. Accurately process payments and discuss payment options. Support clinicians and veterinary staff with client communication, education, advocacy, and after‑care arrangements. Maintain organized records, scan and attach necessary paperwork to client or patient files. Collaborate with clinicians, referring veterinarians, vendors, and other parties. Maintain a community email inbox. Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by leadership. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Minimum one year of client service experience in a veterinary practice (emergency, specialty, or primary care). Professional written and verbal communication skills. Phone etiquette and client‑service skills. Professionalism when dealing with emotional, sensitive, or stressful situations. Basic understanding of medical terminology, medications, and common procedures. Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and a rotational holiday schedule. Preferred Qualifications: Three or more years of veterinary client‑service or technician experience. Experience working in a teaching environment. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and procedures. Experience with EzyVet and VetRadar software. Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence. Schedule: 8‑hour and 10‑hour shifts. Day, swing, and night shifts with rotating weekends and holiday coverage. Working Conditions: Hazards Exposure to slips, trips, falls, unpleasant odors, noise, animal waste; risk of bites, kicks, or scratches; exposure to bloodborne pathogens, hazardous drugs, radiation, toxic waste, and chemicals such as disinfectants, pesticides, and latex. Animals Small mammals, large mammals, livestock, reptiles, avians, and other exotic animals may be treated; this is a non‑animal‑handling position. Salary Range: Min $18.63/hr, Mid $19.28/hr, Max $19.85/hr, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
