MS/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) - Night and Day Shifts

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 4x12-hour rotations with day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00 and night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Every other weekend coverage is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified MS/Tele Registered Nurse to join our high-volume unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting, demonstrating the ability to manage complex care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring. The position involves caring for a variety of patient diagnoses, concentrating on both short and long-term care needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpreting telemetry data as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Provide care for patients with complex needs, including those with orthopedic overflow and long-term conditions.
• Utilize Rapid Response and Code Teams effectively in emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid NY RN license in hand; no exceptions.
• Minimum of 1 year of prior charge nurse experience required.
• Demonstrated experience with a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in a telemetry setting.
• Current certifications in BLS and NIHSS required.
• EPIC charting system experience is mandatory.
