Production Planner

Production Planner

This role involves working under the direct supervision of the CTO to ensure accurate and timely workflow to the shop floor. You will provide support in contract review, planning, and shipping, ensuring that assigned tasks conform to specifications and instructions. This position requires verifying that work performed meets or exceeds quality standards, and involves taking on additional responsibilities as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, specifications, and customer documents to understand the scope of work.
• Evaluate incoming documents for contract review.
• Document and request information from customers to enable process orders to be released.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and planning instructions, preparing planning instructions accordingly.
• Generate reports using Excel or Access.
• Take pictures of hardware as needed for documentation.
• Develop and train team members in novel skills and processes.

Essential Skills

• Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Shop Tech, JobBOSS, and ERP Software.
• Ability to review specifications or blueprints to determine process and inspection requirements.
• Adaptability to a changing technology environment.
• Capability to work under time constraints to meet customer demands.
• Proficiency in maintaining resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Analytical skills to assess customer requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong team collaboration skills.
• High attention to detail and a self-starter attitude.
• Proficiency in using hand inspection tools.
• Education or experience in engineering or quality assurance is a plus.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orange, CA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
