Opportunity PRIME AE is looking for an Environmental Scientist to join our Tampa, FL office. The role balances fieldwork and office‑based project support and contributes to environmental and ecological projects throughout Florida. What You’ll Do Support environmental permitting, field investigations, ecological assessments, and compliance efforts for public and private sector projects. Assist with environmental data collection, reporting, coordination activities, and work closely with project managers, scientists, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Key Responsibilities Wetland delineations Wetland mitigation site reviews and maintenance recommendations Wetland mitigation site monitoring Listed species surveys Field data collection using GPS equipment Submerged aquatic vegetation surveys Permit compliance inspections on active construction projects Preparation of reports for mitigation and construction inspections Data entry, basic data analysis, and database management Formatting and organizing information for reports Conducting research for projects Preparation of GIS exhibits Completing forms for permit applications What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or other natural science (GPA ≥ 3.0) 2+ years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field (preferred) Valid Florida driver’s license with a clean record Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments Strong time‑management skills, attention to detail, and work ethic Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ArcGIS and/or CAD experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of wetland plant identification, including invasive species (preferred) Ability to obtain a Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Commercial Applicator License Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screening, criminal, and motor‑vehicle background checks Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain Benefits Career growth opportunities across disciplines People‑first culture that values trust, integrity, and collaboration Meaningful work that strengthens communities and public spaces Strategic expansion with strong leadership and investment National reach with local office feel and agility Our Commitment PRIME AE is committed to creating an inclusive environment where differences are respected, voices are heard, and everyone has the opportunity to succeed. #J-18808-Ljbffr PRIME AE Group, Inc.
