Overview Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Start date 06/29/2026 for a 13-week assignment with weekly pay in the range of $2,881–$3,017 per week and no guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12-hour rotating day/evening blocks in a hospital OR setting. This position requires cardiovascular/open heart OR experience and is designed as a travel, temporary assignment. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,881–$3,017 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour rotating (day/evening) Start date: 06/29/2026 Work setting: OR in a hospital, travel assignment Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care as circulating and, when needed, as scrub, supporting cardiovascular/open heart procedures with emphasis on patient safety and sterile technique. Prepare the OR, arrange equipment and supplies, perform instrument and counts, monitor patient status, and document perioperative care in the EMR. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely patient turnover. Adapt to unit needs, including potential float to other OR suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT); when floated, duties include circulating rather than scrubbing. Maintain compliance with Epic documentation and standards; participate in on-call expectations (one full weekend of call every 5 weeks and weekday call as needed). Uphold BLS requirements; support CVOR team with high competency in cardiovascular/open heart cases; CNOR preparation is preferred. Requirements Minimum 2 years OR RN experience with recent cardiovascular/open heart case competency. Prior travel nursing experience. BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred. Cardiac/vascular OR experience strongly preferred. Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years. Ability to work in a hospital OR setting with potential to float to other OR suites as needed. Must be flexible with schedule to meet unit and patient care needs. Reliable transportation may be needed for local arrangements around assignment start.
