In recent years HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital has opened a new women's and neonatal tower that includes 30 postpartum private rooms, 12 labor and delivery rooms, a 6 bed Level III NICU and 7 special care nursery beds. Trident Health system consolidated all obstetric and neonatal care to one location at HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital in 2019. In addition, HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital offers a high risk obstetric Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic, comprehensive breast health care at the Summerville Breast Center, and a roster of board-certified physicians specializing in women's care.
