Shop MechanicWe are seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to join our Equipment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance. As a key member of our Equipment division, the Mechanic will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources.ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and repair work on company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailersDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop solutions to resolve themPerform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtimeEnsure that all equipment-related activities are carried out in compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsManage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues in a timely mannerDevelop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, and communicate equipment-related information to stakeholdersIdentify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment maintenance and repairOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction settingStrong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issuesStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiencesStrong organizational and time-management skillsExperience using equipment maintenance or repair software preferredA commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplaceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
