Sanitation Technician | Omak, WA
Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Sanitation Technician for a food manufacturing facility in Omak, WA.
This is a hands-on role responsible for cleaning production equipment, machines, floors, drains, and work areas in a food production environment. The right candidate will be dependable, safety-minded, comfortable with physical work, and able to follow cleaning procedures, food safety rules, and written instructions.
Job Duties:
Clean equipment, machines, floors, drains, and environmental surfaces
Use approved cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
Follow sanitation procedures, GMPs, SSOPs, and company safety policies
Disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning when needed
Mop floors, squeegee water, shovel waste, empty garbage, and keep work areas clean
Complete cleaning records accurately
Wear required PPE while performing job duties
Help ensure products meet food safety and quality standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Sanitation, janitorial, food production, warehouse, agriculture, manufacturing, or general labor experience preferred
Must be comfortable with physical cleaning work
Must be able to safely handle cleaning chemicals
Must be able to read and understand safety instructions and MSDS information in English
Must be reliable and able to follow written procedures
Forklift experience is a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
LEAN manufacturing experience is a plus
Requirements:
Must be able to work in Omak, WA
Must be comfortable working in a food manufacturing/agricultural production environment
Must be willing to wear PPE and follow all safety rules
Pre-employment background check and drug screen required
