Mechanical Installer Technician Aerotek is Hiring! Position: Mechanical Installer Technician Pay: $24.00/hour Shift: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM Location: Rockville, VA 6-Week Contract Position! Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy working with tools, blueprints, and hands-on installation projects? Aerotek is seeking motivated Mechanical Installer Technicians to support the installations within a large warehouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical assembly, construction, industrial maintenance, or installation experience who are looking to grow their career in a fast-paced and safety-focused setting. Job Responsibilities Install chutes, mechanical systems, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs) according to project specifications. Use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble, install, and secure mechanical and electrical components. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) with accuracy and attention to detail. Perform mechanical assembly tasks including fitting, fastening, aligning, and securing components. Install wires, cables, and interface components while working with both large and small parts. Measure and mark materials using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure precise installations. Support quality assurance efforts by verifying proper alignment, function, and accuracy of completed installations. Assist with general labor duties such as loading and unloading materials, cleaning work areas, and organizing tools and equipment. Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment when required and qualified. Work at heights of up to 6 feet while following all applicable safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with advisors, service teams, and fellow technicians to meet project deadlines and quality expectations. Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements and report hazards or concerns promptly. Required Qualifications Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure. Experience using hand tools and power tools in a professional setting. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in mechanical assembly, installation, or technician roles. Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Experience performing mechanical, electrical, or cable installation work. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working at heights up to 6 feet. Experience in construction, carpentry, industrial manufacturing, general labor, maintenance, repair, or related fields. Basic understanding of electrical components and schematics.
