Job Summary
This Infant/Toddler position supports the healthy development, safety, and learning of children ages 6 weeks to 18 months. This role requires a nurturing, patient, observant, and energetic educator who can create a warm, responsive environment while following STAR 4 quality standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment for infants (ages 6 weeks to 18 months).
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- helping to observe and document each child’s progress and communicate regularly with teachers and admin.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure consistency and quality of care.
- Follow all state licensing requirements, health and safety guidelines, and center policies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
- Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with parents and caregivers.
Qualifications:
- Required: CDA (Child Development Associate) or willingness to obtain
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in infant care.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Genuine love for infants and commitment to their healthy development.
