Job Opportunity Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Care Unit Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intermediate Care Unit. The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Current Illinois RN License
- Current CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional care to patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws.
- Document patient care according to standards of care.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family education.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, appropriately escalating issues through the chain of command as needed.
