Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced MIG Welders to support a steel fabrication operation specializing in structural carbon steel fabrication and welding. This position will be responsible for performing wire-feed welding on steel components and fabricated assemblies while maintaining strong weld quality, consistency, and production standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on MIG welding experience, can produce clean, structurally sound welds, and is comfortable working in a production-oriented fabrication environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on structural carbon steel components and fabricated assemblies according to job specifications and quality standards  
• Complete consistent, high-quality welds while maintaining proper welding technique and attention to detail  
• Read and follow work instructions, fabrication drawings, and welding specifications as required  
• Inspect completed welds for defects, including porosity, cracks, undercut, and incomplete fusion, and make corrections as necessary  
• Use welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, and other fabrication tools to complete assigned work  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following established safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment  
• Work efficiently with the fabrication team to meet production requirements, maintain quality standards, and complete jobs on schedule

Requirements:

• Previous hands-on MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, steel fabrication, structural steel, or similar industrial environment  
• Experience welding carbon steel using wire-feed welding processes; experience with structural steel fabrication is highly preferred  
• Ability to produce consistent, quality welds and demonstrate proper welding techniques during a practical weld test 
• Familiarity with welding equipment, grinders, hand tools, and standard shop safety practices  
• Ability to follow work instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a production environment  
• Welding certifications and the ability to read fabrication blueprints are preferred, depending on the position's requirements
• PPE Required: Welding hood, Steel Toes  

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday ,5:00 am – 3:30 pm and Friday, 5:00 am – 2:30 pm

Compensation:

• $20.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience
