Summary

The Legal Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's contract management process, legal documentation, and related administrative functions. This role serves as a key liaison between internal departments, external counsel, clients, vendors, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies. The Legal Contracts Manager reviews, drafts, negotiates, and manages a variety of contracts while supporting corporate legal matters, insurance administration, litigation management, and legal department operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Contract Management

• Review, draft, revise, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of contracts, including:
  • Client consulting agreements
  • Independent contractor agreements
  • Vendor and third-party contracts
  • Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements
  • Service and professional consulting agreements
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and risk management standards.
• Maintain contract records and monitor key terms, obligations, renewals, and deadlines.
• Support contract negotiations and coordinate revisions with internal stakeholders and external parties.

Legal Operations & Case Management

• Manage the delivery of legal documentation and services to internal and external clients, including assisting with litigation support, discovery requests and related matters.
• Conduct legal research, pre-claim investigations, and preliminary case assessments for collections and other legal matters.

Corporate & Regulatory Support

• Support legal documentation and communications related to mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
• Gather, organize, and research information to support legal and compliance initiatives.

Insurance & Risk Management

• Assist with insurance renewals and insurance-related documentation.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, carriers, and internal departments on claims and risk management matters.

Administrative & Communication Responsibilities

• Draft professional correspondence, legal communications, reports, and forms.
• Maintain organized legal, contract, and case files.
• Track calendars, deadlines, and critical legal obligations.
• Keep stakeholders informed regarding contract status, legal matters, and project progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal contract management, legal operations, contract administration, or a related legal field.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience managing outside counsel and coordinating legal matters preferred.
• Experience supporting insurance, litigation, collections, corporate governance, or mergers and acquisitions is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of contract management principles and legal documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Compensation:

Salary range is up to $80,000 with flexibility depending on experience. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.

The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
