Remote Business Development Manager (US, Remote)

Based in London, we’re already well known in the US for our work with clients such as Baxter, Boston Scientific, Ford, Google, HP, Illumina, iFit and more. Our unique model blends industrial, digital and service design with engineering to help the world’s most ambitious companies drive change.

With demand growing across med tech, life sciences, consumer tech and transportation, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our new business efforts in the United States, preferably on the east coast to maximise crossover time with London.

This is a critical hire. You’ll partner closely with our Design Strategy Director and other senior leadership. You’ll be responsible for building our pipeline, developing strategic relationships, and creating the proposals that help us win transformative work.

What You’ll Be Doing
Identify and convert new business opportunities across sectors including med tech, life sciences, consumer technology, transportation, and more.
Build relationships with C-level and senior innovation leads at established companies and emerging disruptors alike.
Shape high-quality, customised proposals that connect Native’s capabilities with client needs—working closely with our strategists, designers, and engineers.
Lead outbound efforts while managing and converting inbound interest from referrals, our website, and our existing US network.
Represent Native at key industry events , conferences, and exhibitions, both virtually and in person.
Contribute strategically to our US growth plan—helping us scale our presence in key cities and sectors.

Your profile

Youre a confident, proactive business development professional with a strong network in med tech or related innovation sectors. You understand design’s strategic value, and you know how to sell it—with credibility, clarity, and ambition.
Proven experience developing and closing new business in design, med tech, healthcare innovation, or a related consultancy/agency setting.
Strong communicator , both written and verbal, with excellent proposal development and pitch capabilities.
Strategic mindset , able to qualify leads based on commercial potential, creative opportunity, and long-term fit.
Self-starter , comfortable operating independently across time zones and managing your own pipeline and reporting.
Collaborative by nature , working closely with our cross-disciplinary team to shape compelling, insight-driven proposals.
Highly organised , juggling multiple opportunities and relationships without dropping the ball.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity , working in a nimble, fast-moving environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Passionate about design , and its potential to drive meaningful, measurable impact across industries.
Optimally located on the east coast for maximum crossover with London for crucial connection, where needed.
