MRI Technologist
MLR Healthcare is looking for a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. In this role, you will operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images as ordered by physicians. Your responsibilities will include patient screenings, explaining procedures, maintaining and troubleshooting MRI equipment, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals. You will also play an important role in training and mentoring junior MRI technologists.
Responsibilities:
- Review patient histories and screen for contraindications, including pacemakers or metal implants.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents as required for imaging procedures.
- Address patient concerns and ensure their comfort throughout the MRI procedure.
- Perform regular inspections and routine maintenance on MRI equipment, scheduling repairs as needed.
- Position patients correctly and conduct MRI scans according to physician instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in MRI scan rooms.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT®).
- Ability to obtain advanced MRI certification within one year of hire, if not already certified.
- Must hold and maintain a current Radiographer State License .
