This is a position for standardized patients, specifically for Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) students. The role involves accurately and consistently recreating patient histories, personalities, physical findings, and emotional responses to assess and document learner performance, provide feedback, and represent patient satisfaction. The position requires simulating patient cases, instructing and assessing health providers in clinical and communication skills, and maintaining professional behavior and accountability.

Responsibilities include simulating patient scenarios, teaching physical examination techniques, documenting learner skills, providing feedback, monitoring other standardized patients, and accepting feedback to improve case simulations.

Required qualifications include the ability to work well with others, communicate effectively, recall encounters accurately, be organized, work as part of a team and independently, show punctuality and reliability, adapt to different situations, be comfortable with their own body, and have basic computer skills.
