A growing industrial service organization is seeking a Rotating Equipment Technician to join its team supporting customers across a variety of industrial environments. This position is ideal for a mechanically skilled technician with experience repairing and servicing pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.

This is a hands-on role that combines shop repair work with field service responsibilities at customer facilities. Technicians are trusted to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform repairs, maintain high safety standards, and represent the company professionally while working independently in the field.

What You'll Do

● Perform disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, and related rotating equipment

● Troubleshoot mechanical failures and assist with root cause analysis to identify long-term solutions

● Interpret technical drawings, OEM manuals, repair procedures, and engineering specifications

● Document repair findings, measurements, tolerances, parts usage, and service activities accurately

● Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators

● Operate shop equipment including drill presses, pneumatic hand tools, horizontal band saws, and cutting torches

● Travel regularly to customer facilities and job sites to perform field service, repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities

● Manage service work independently while maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams

● Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment in both shop and field settings

● Support daily operational goals and priorities established by leadership

What You Bring

● High school diploma or GED required

● Technical school training or mechanical certifications preferred

● Minimum 5 years of hands-on rotating equipment repair experience in an industrial environment

● Experience working with pumps, compressors, turbines, gearboxes, or similar rotating equipment

● Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities

● Proficiency using precision measuring equipment and alignment tools

● Understanding of mechanical fits, tolerances, and alignment procedures

● Familiarity with API, ANSI, and OEM standards related to rotating equipment

● Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings

● Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

● Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus

● Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding industrial environments

● Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites

● Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
