Opportunity for Clinician Educator Faculty Position

Become a vital member of our Internal Medicine Residency Program at Waterbury Hospital as a full-time Clinic/Ambulatory Faculty member. We are on the lookout for a dedicated physician who is enthusiastic about educating residents in an outpatient setting. This role offers a distinctive chance to influence the next generation of internal medicine practitioners while nurturing a collaborative and supportive educational atmosphere. Additionally, there are options for those interested in serving as an inpatient attending physician.

• Oversee and instruct internal medicine residents in the outpatient clinic.

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in an outpatient environment.

• Design and execute the curriculum for the ambulatory care segment of the residency program.

• Engage in case-based discussions, grand rounds, and various educational initiatives.

• Promote a positive learning atmosphere that encourages resident participation and professional development.

• Work collaboratively with fellow faculty members to enhance the residency program as a whole.

Position Requirements

• MD or DO with a valid Connecticut State License.

• Federal DEA/Narcotic Registration.

• Completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
