Diesel Mechanic

Job Title: Heavy-Duty Diesel Truck Mechanic Location: Sioux Falls South Dakota Company: I-State Truck Center Join a leading Midwest truck dealership and service provider. What You’ll Do Diagnose & repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy-duty diesel trucks Use advanced diagnostics (Cummins Insite, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link, OEM software) Perform preventive maintenance (oil, brakes, inspections, lubrication) Repair/replace major components (engines, transmissions, differentials, turbos) Complete work orders and documentation for warranty and compliance Communicate repairs and recommendations to customers Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace What We’re Looking For 2+ years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with trucks like Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo, or Mack Ability to read schematics and technical manuals Basic welding/fabrication skills (preferred) Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) Diesel tech certification or ASE (T2–T8) is a plus Why Join I-State Truck Center?
