Federal Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on Military Construction (MILCON) projects. This individual will oversee all onsite construction activities from site development through vertical construction and interior finishes while ensuring compliance with federal quality, safety, and security requirements. The ideal candidate has experience managing complex DoD, USACE, NAVFAC, or large-scale commercial projects and excels at coordinating subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and field execution. Required Qualifications 5+ years of Superintendent or field leadership experience managing site civil and vertical construction scopes Experience supporting DoD, USACE, NAVFAC, or large commercial construction projects Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, scheduling, and construction means and methods Working knowledge of: UFC/UFGS standards and specifications EM 385-1-1 safety requirements USACE/NAVFAC quality control programs FAR/DFARS requirements related to construction execution Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) standards and base access procedures Experience utilizing Procore, Primavera P6, and other construction management/documentation platforms Ability to effectively communicate with government representatives, inspectors, subcontractors, and installation personnel OSHA 30 Certification Preferred Qualifications USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) Certification EM 385-1-1 Safety Certification Experience with innovative construction technologies and alternative building methods Prior military service or experience working on secure federal installations Key Responsibilities Field Operations & Project Execution Lead all daily field operations, including supervision of subcontractors, field personnel, equipment, deliveries, and work sequencing. Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents, project specifications, and federal requirements. Maintain site logistics plans including material staging, access control, traffic flow, and project phasing. Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, identify issues, and verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and approved submittals. Develop and maintain short-term lookahead schedules and coordinate updates for integration into the overall project schedule. Safety & Security Enforce project safety programs in accordance with the Site-Specific Safety and Health Plan (SSHP) and EM 385-1-1 requirements. Conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, inspections, and corrective action tracking. Ensure compliance with all security requirements, restricted-area access procedures, and personnel credential verification. Maintain a safe work environment and immediately address unsafe conditions or activities. Quality Control & Compliance Support implementation of the USACE/NAVFAC Three-Phase Quality Control Program. Verify work meets UFC/UFGS requirements, contract specifications, approved submittals, and quality standards. Coordinate inspections, testing, material verification, and punch-list completion activities. Maintain accurate as-built documentation and coordinate updates with project engineering staff. Project Controls & Reporting Track daily manpower, production quantities, progress, constraints, and delays. Maintain comprehensive daily reports, logs, and photographic documentation in accordance with federal project requirements. Validate subcontractor progress and support project leadership with forecasting and cost-to-complete reporting. Identify schedule, quality, and cost impacts early and provide recommended corrective actions. Coordination & Stakeholder Management Coordinate field activities with government representatives, inspectors, installation personnel, subcontractors, and construction management teams. Lead daily planning meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and pre-task planning sessions. Partner with Project Engineers to resolve RFIs, design clarifications, and field issues. Coordinate construction activities to ensure seamless integration of all trades and project scopes. Support commissioning, acceptance testing, mock-ups, and implementation of emerging construction technologies where applicable #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
