The Supervisor position can be either full-time (30+ hours) or part-time (1-29 hours). All staff are required to work at least one day a weekend. The marina is staffed 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm. This position also provides the possibility for growth within the marina leadership. Starting pay for this position is $19.00 per hour and can be increased commensurate with the skills and experience of a candidate. If you love working outdoors and enjoy providing guests with memorable experiences, this is an incredible opportunity for you to join our All-Star Team!Job Description:# Essential Functions for a Part-Time Marina Supervisor# *Operations and Administration** Direct day-to-day operations of the site including open and/or closing responsibilities.* Administer front desk operations to maximize service-oriented staff performance.* Serve as a point of contact for customers by responding to inquiries, resolving complaints, and collaborating with the WSM management team.* Oversee ordering, inventory control and stocking of merchandise across retail food and beverage and marina maintenance repair operations to ensure accuracy, drive strategic sales and optimize product placement to deliver a compelling guest experience and meet GSI standards.* Creates and implements preventive maintenance programs for infrastructure/equipment and enforces a comprehensive risk management program for managing boat/vessel scheduling, slip leasing and collection of payments.* Verifies payments of invoices to ensure accurate billing and resolves discrepancies when appropriate. Reviews and prepares daily sales and cash reports, end-of-the month sales reports, in addition to the preparation of budgets and financial statements.*Maintenance, Sanitation, and Safety** Inspect the facility daily and weekly to maintain safe operation of facilities, equipment, docks and grounds.* Ensure the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of all building facilities including bathrooms, shower rooms, storage areas, and the store.* Ensure comprehensive completion of incident reports. Notify the General Manager and District Leadership of all unusual events, circumstances, or other safety or quality control issues in a timely manner.*Staff Supervision** Supervise on-duty staff members and cultivate a culture of respect and accountability.* Monitor daily staff performance, provide feedback, and facilitate a culture of accountability.*Program Development and Marketing** Assist in the management of Rental Programs and Sailing Programs. Support district operations, programs, and special events.* Always represent the company professionally. Maintain and enhance the company’s imagewhen interacting with clients, guests, associates, and vendors.# The Ideal Candidate# * Demonstrates an aptitude for interacting with a wide variety of people.* Ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities with effective time management.* Navigate relationships and build rapport with staff, slip holders, and stakeholders.* Growth potential and desire to learn and develop new skills.* Capacity to think critically and solve problems to be successful in a dynamic workplace.* Ability to maintain confidentiality.* Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communications skills.* Foundational knowledge of basic accounting, marketing, and project management.# Skill and Knowledge Requirements# * High School Diploma or GED required.* First Aid and CPR certification.* Sailing, Powerboating, rowing and/or paddling knowledge and experience preferred.* Ability to swim and comfort around the water.* Supervisory experience preferred.* 5+ years of boating and/or marine related experience.* Currently possess or ability to obtain a Boater Safety Course Certificate or Boating License.* Computer proficiency with the ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite.* Flexible availability for frequent early morning, evening, and weekend shifts.# Physical and Mental Requirements# * Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.* Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.* Ability to stand for the entire workday and to climb steps regularly.* Withstanding temperature extremes and inclement outdoor weather.* Reading and writing work-related documents in English.* Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.* Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.# Equipment Used# * Typical office equipment (computers, phone system, fax, copiers, scanners, among others).* All dock equipment and materials (boats, ropes, anchors, among othersFounded in 1917, Guest Services has worked tirelessly to earn the reputation as the premier hospitality management company and National Park Service concessionaire in the United States.
