Zaruda LLC | Remote |Location USA | Contract or Full-Time Location: Remote / Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time AI-Native Software Engineer (.NET) # Senior Software Engineer – AI-Native .NET Development Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who has built and shipped production applications using modern AI-assisted development practices. This is not a traditional .NET development role. We need an engineer who uses AI coding tools as a core part of their daily workflow—not someone who has merely experimented with them. You must be able to explain and demonstrate how AI has helped you deliver production software faster, improve code quality, solve complex engineering problems, and modernize existing applications. What You’ll Do Design and build scalable applications using C# and ASP.NET Core Develop REST APIs and microservices using clean architecture principles Use AI-assisted development tools throughout the software-development lifecycle Refactor and modernize existing applications Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues Create reliable unit and integration tests Participate actively in pair and mob programming sessions Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering standards Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers Required Qualifications AI-Native Software Development — Highest Priority You must have hands-on experience using tools such as: GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot Cursor, Windsurf, or comparable AI coding assistants You should be prepared to explain how you use AI to: Generate and validate production-quality code Refactor existing applications Create unit and integration tests Improve development speed and engineering quality Your résumé should clearly describe your AI-assisted development experience, including specific tools, production use cases, and measurable outcomes whenever possible. Strong production experience with: C# .NET and ASP.NET Core REST APIs Microservices SQL Server Unit and integration testing You must have experience owning backend services and delivering scalable, production-ready applications. Collaborative Engineering Demonstrated experience with: Mob programming Agile or Scrum delivery Code reviews Cross-functional collaboration Mentoring or technical leadership This role involves approximately four to five hours of collaborative pairing or mob programming each day. You must be comfortable developing software in a highly collaborative environment. Azure DevOps and CI/CD Hands-on experience with: Git-based source control Automated build and release processes Preferred Qualifications React and TypeScript Docker and Kubernetes Android or iOS development AI agent frameworks LLM integrations Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications Experience Five or more years of professional software-engineering experience Proven experience shipping customer-facing production software Strong ownership of application design, implementation, testing, and deployment Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly Your résumé must include concrete examples of how you have used AI development tools to deliver production software.
