Job Summary Geisinger offers an Inpatient RN position with an incentive up to $26,000 for eligible candidates. Starting hiring rate is $41.41 per hour, with increased rates for experienced nurses and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Formulates, coordinates, and provides plan of care per unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs assessment, and discharge planning during hospitalization with the interdisciplinary team. Provides direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure. Evaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and revises plan of care based on patient response. Initiates collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members; proactively resolves and facilitates patient needs. Problem‑solves, troubleshoots, and takes corrective measures in the care and handling of equipment. Participates in unit‑based decision‑making regarding evidence‑based practice utilization. Actively participates as a team member working toward unit and organizational goals and accounts for unit and system‑specific metrics. Participates in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The role satisfies all job‑specific obligations and complies with all organization policies and procedures. Position Details Hours: 7 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; every other weekend and holiday requirements. Education Graduate from a specialty training program in Nursing (Required). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
