Study Coordinator

The Study Coordinator II plays a critical role in supporting hardware initiatives and user research activities by partnering with cross‑functional teams across engineering, operations, legal, and product development. This position is responsible for coordinating hardware allocation and distribution, managing inventory and logistics, supporting device setup and testing activities, and helping execute user studies to ensure a high‑quality product experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Contract: 1 year+ Rate Range: $23/hour to $35/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Key Responsibilities Maintain and manage a detailed hardware allocation database to ensure accurate tracking and reporting. Oversee hardware inventory, ensuring devices are available and distributed according to project and team needs. Coordinate hardware delivery schedules and prioritize distribution to critical stakeholders while proactively communicating delays or risks. Configure and prepare devices according to engineering specifications and testing requirements. Support the planning and execution of user studies and research initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Engineering, Operations, Legal, Hardware Development, and Engineering Services teams. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and technical issues while identifying opportunities for process improvement. Ensure proper documentation, inventory accuracy, and compliance with established procedures. Manage multiple projects and time‑sensitive tasks while meeting daily operational deadlines. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 1+ year of experience supporting unreleased hardware and/or software products. Experience managing hardware inventories, allocations, logistics, or operational workflows. Familiarity with consumer technology platforms, including mobile, wearable, desktop, or hardware ecosystems. Strong project coordination and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proven ability to prioritize competing demands in a deadline‑driven environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams. Demonstrated problem‑solving and decision‑making skills in an engineering, testing, or product development environment. Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of learning complex processes quickly. Proficiency with productivity and presentation tools, including spreadsheet and presentation software. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting user experience (UX), quality assurance (QA), product testing, or user research activities. Background working with hardware development, device testing, or engineering operations teams. Familiarity with mobile, desktop, wearable, or consumer electronics products. Experience improving operational processes and workflows in a cross‑functional environment. Strong analytical thinking with a passion for quality, usability, and customer experience. Full‑time onsite presence required to support hardware logistics, testing activities, and device deliveries. Comfortable working in environments with bright lighting and active testing spaces. Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and business needs.
