JOB SUMMARY To provide a genuine, professional, and intuitive service to guests and associates with respect to the company’s high‑end standards, values, and vision. Assist the service team to help deliver exceptional service. To work closely with the Food and Beverage team to ensure achievement of strategic departmental goals, especially in the area of guest satisfaction. To be prepared to work flexible shifts at designated area to create a fully multi‑skilled and productive Food and Beverage team with a sense of Aloha. SERVER ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES Server Assistant responsibilities include serving plates, glasses and silverware, refilling beverages and cleaning/ resetting tables between courses. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Satisfaction Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques. Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees. Assist the Server in taking food and beverage orders in a friendly and timely manner and ensures accurate entry and delivery of the order. Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques. Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily. Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships. Operations Ensures that Rosewood standards are implemented and followed. Ensures that all the Food and Beverage Sequence of Service are implemented. Carry out the service to the highest professional standards in a genuine and intuitive manner. Ensures the appropriate mise en place before and after service. Works closely with other Outlet associates in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests. Effectively manages guest demands with dining room. Gather and records guest preferences Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, as one team. Maintains par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies as required. Seats, takes orders and serves food and beverage to guest according to the established sequence and procedures. Presents menu, answers enquiries and makes suggestions regarding food, beverage and service to restaurant guests. Clears and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course. Fully conversant with all aspects of the Micros System. Computes bill and accepts payment Performs the function of cashier as required. Verifies cash received ensuring only genuine money been collected. Verifies all credit cards presented by guest before to validity of the card. Strictly adheres to all policies and procedures issued by the Finance with regard to cashiering and cash handling. Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives based on preference, on dietary restriction, etc. Other Duties Understands and strictly adheres to rules and regulations established in the associate handbook and the Hotel’s policies concerning fire, hygiene and health and safety. Ensures high standards of personal presentation and grooming. Responds to changes in the Food and Beverage function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel. Attends training sessions as and when required. Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. Group Specific Contribute to ensuring that brand integrity and clarity are always maintained. Is a "Brand Ambassador" at all times and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained. QUALIFICATIONS & WORKING EXPERIENCE 6 to 12 months experience in Hotel Food and Beverage operations or freestanding lifestyle restaurant Background in upscale free‑standing restaurant or Food & Beverage operations preferred Familiarization with Forbes standards is preferred Beverage knowledge is preferred Fluent spoken and written in English High School Diploma.
