Global Category Lead - Value & Access, Associate Director

Amgen seeks an Associate Director Global Category Lead for Value & Access to develop and execute end-to-end category strategies supporting market access, pricing, and health economics functions. This role requires procurement expertise combined with commercial acumen to optimize supplier partnerships, drive OPEX efficiency, and align operations with value delivery across global and US teams.
Responsibilities
- Serve as trusted advisor on supplier capabilities, market dynamics, and procurement best practices to stakeholders
- Develop multi-year category strategies across consulting, analytics, evidence generation, and access services
- Build supplier ecosystem leveraging technology, analytics, and new operating models to improve speed and efficiency
- Partner with Finance to improve OPEX productivity and identify ways procurement influences gross-to-net outcomes
- Establish category KPIs, governance, and performance metrics; adapt strategies as business priorities evolve
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of business partnering, marketing, or related experience (or equivalent via higher degree with fewer years)
- Proven procurement experience in Value & Access or Market Access within biotech/pharma
- Strong understanding of pricing, reimbursement, payer dynamics, and market access trends
- Demonstrated financial acumen including budget management, business cases, and OPEX analysis
- Experience developing multi-year category strategies with supplier segmentation and governance
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional global teams without direct authority
- Advanced degree (MBA) and/or experience in Value & Access, HEOR, or Pricing & Reimbursement preferred
