Peer Support Specialist
This position is responsible for providing support and education to patients and family members that serve as an adjunct to direct clinical services and enhance patient's personal pathway to recovery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: meeting with patients in their homes to complete sessions and collect drug screen samples, facilitating patient's readiness for change, modeling coping techniques and self-help strategies, assisting patients in linking to community support and treatment services, and assisting patients in setting personal recovery goals and developing recovery care plans.

Qualifications: High school graduate or GED, certified peer support professional (CPSP) or certified addiction peer recovery coach (CAPRC I and CAPRC II) required, valid driver's license, and personal lived experience of recovery from a mental health condition, substance use or problem gambling and/or assisted a family member with the same.
