Key Details Job Shift: Night Shift (7:00p.m.–7:00a.m.) with 3rd weekend and 2 holidays per year Hours: 30hrs/week (0.75FTE) Job Type: Employee, Department: 3700000012 Labor and Delivery, Scheduled Weekly Hours: 30 Primary Responsibilities Collects and analyzes health data to develop and implement individualized plan of care for women and newborns within a family‑centered care framework. Coordinates care delivery, educates patients, and evaluates progress toward expected outcomes. Makes clinical decisions in an ethical manner, respecting cultural diversity and inclusion principles. Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and the community to provide safe, holistic care. Acts as a role model, change agent, consultant, and mentor to colleagues and the community. Maintains current evidence‑based nursing competencies and integrates research into practice. Implements new quality measures and evaluates nursing practice in alignment with professional standards. Considers safety, effectiveness, technology, and fiscal responsibility when planning care. Performs duties in an environmentally safe manner for patients and families. Applies evidence‑based knowledge specific to women and newborn care as described in the department’s Scope of Service. Stays in a constant state of alertness and performs other duties as assigned. Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or holds education equivalency for licensing. Experience No prior experience required. Physical Requirements Constant use of speech for communication, standing, walking, frequent lifting (0–25lbs) and occasionally 25–50lbs; frequent sitting, reaching, keyboard use; frequent vision and depth perception; frequent hearing; occasional patient handling, bending, stooping, and driving. Required Professional Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (RN) issued by the relevant state board. Basic Life Support – HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) from the American Heart Association. Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or NRP Essentials from the American Academy of Pediatrics.
