Production Worker

Production Worker / Material Handler This role supports the shipping and receiving department by handling materials, picking and packing orders, and maintaining accurate inventory. You will work with warehouse equipment, computers, and RF scanners to process products efficiently and accurately, while cross-training in multiple departments to support overall production and logistics operations. Responsibilities Handle materials in the shipping and receiving department, ensuring products move efficiently through the warehouse. Pick and pack orders accurately according to work instructions and inventory records. Perform inventory control tasks, including counting, tracking, and verifying stock levels. Use warehouse equipment to pick inventory and move materials as needed. Label boxes clearly and correctly to support accurate shipping and storage. Assemble and kit parts according to specifications and production requirements. Operate computers and RF scanners to process orders, update inventory, and record transactions. Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds safely and consistently throughout the shift. Follow detailed instructions and maintain high attention to detail in all tasks. Participate in cross-training across different departments to support a flexible and efficient operation. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production and shipping deadlines. Attend and successfully complete an interview with supervisors prior to assignment. Essential Skills Experience in production, assembly, or general labor environments. Hands-on experience with warehouse picking and inventory control. Ability to perform material handling tasks safely and efficiently. Comfort using computers and RF scanners in a warehouse or production setting. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labeling, picking, and packaging. Good soft skills, including communication, teamwork, and reliability. Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks and departments. Ability to work Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment. Experience in assembly line work or production assembly. Familiarity with hand tools used in assembly or material handling. Previous experience in packaging, picking, or shipping and receiving. Demonstrated ability to cross-train and perform multiple roles within a warehouse or production setting. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a climate-controlled, very clean warehouse and production environment. You will work primarily in the shipping and receiving area, using equipment such as RF scanners, computers, hand tools, and material handling devices, with potential exposure to forklifts and other warehouse machinery. The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a consistent daytime shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Juliet, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
