Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for independently performing inspection, testing, and maintenance of backflows. This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision. This position is ideal for a journeyman who is currently working toward obtaining their Master Plumber license & holds an ASSE certification. The technician is expected to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of backflows.Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Follow all safety procedures and company policies.Complete occasional pit work as needed.Travel to job sites as required.Other duties as assigned by management.Education/Qualifications:ASSE certification required.Must be currently pursuing a Michigan Master Plumber license.Michigan Journeyman Plumber licenseStrong understanding of backflow systems and inspection procedures.Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).Other Duties:Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.Performs other duties assigned by management.Physical Requirements:Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.Benefits and Perks:Excellent payMedical, dental, visionCompany paid life insuranceCompany paid short-term disability401K with employer matchPaid vacation and company holidaysTraining and Career DevelopmentCompany vehicle (if job applicable)Immediate qualification for the ALL In Ownership Plan for all eligible full-time employeesPye-Barker Fire & Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
