Job Summary:
The Dialysis Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Livonia, Michigan. This role involves providing patient care in a specialized dialysis setting, including assessments, treatment monitoring, medication administration, and patient education. The successful candidate will function as part of an interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to patients requiring maintenance hemodialysis.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shift; 4 days a week; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of a state-approved nursing school; current RN licensure with the applicable State Board of Nursing; at least 12 months of nursing experience including 3 months providing nursing care to maintenance hemodialysis patients
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with blood drawing, patient assessment, psychosocial assessment, case management, dialysis therapy monitoring, medication administration, and patient education
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing blood-drawing procedures, monitoring and adjusting dialysis therapy, administering medications, providing patient and family education, documenting care, and functioning as a charge nurse when needed. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, flexibility, and adherence to infection control protocols. Physical demands include standing, walking, and lifting on duty, with the ability to respond to audible alarms and pass color vision tests. The position requires willingness to work across multiple clinic locations within Livonia, Michigan.
