Shipping Clerk - Day Shift

The Shipping Clerk coordinates shipments, manages documentation, and ensures timely deliveries through effective communication with carriers and internal teams. Receive and process customer orders for shipment, including printing necessary documents and planning according to order priority. Verify product availability, coordinate with inventory systems, and meticulously prepare items for packing to ensure accurate order fulfillment. Coordinate with and update the customer service team on shipment status and promptly address any order changes or inquiries. Package and label products as necessary to ensure they meet quality standards. Navigate shipping processing systems and applications, utilizing scanners to efficiently process and manage shipments. Work closely with the outbound team to palletize and prepare larger orders for shipment, ensuring they are securely packed and labeled according to shipping requirements. Basic math skills for inventory counts and order verification. Proficiency in using handheld scanners and warehouse management software. Good communication skills for coordinating with carriers and customer service teams. Knowledge of and commitment to warehouse safety practices and procedures. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during the Summer months. High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous experience in shipping, packaging, logistics, warehouse operations is preferred.
