Senior Manager, Pricing

The Senior Manager, Pricing is responsible for the strategy, governance, and execution of the enterprise pricing operating model. This role serves as the center of excellence for pricing operations, ensuring pricing strategies are translated into scalable processes, systems, controls, and business practices.

The position provides leadership across deal governance, customer renewals, annual pricing actions, pricing technology, data integrity, controls, reporting, and continuous improvement. Working cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams, this leader drives pricing effectiveness, operational efficiency, compliance, and scalability while enhancing both customer and employee experiences.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $155,000 annually, plus a 20% bonus opportunity. Please note that the base salary will vary based on experience, geographic location and market conditions.

Location & Travel:

This position is open for fully remote work to qualified candidates located in the continental US. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area and are open to hybrid work arrangements. Anticipate up to 10% travel for business meetings; travel frequency may vary based on your location.

Pricing Operations & Governance

• Lead the enterprise pricing operating model, including governance, approval frameworks, decision rights, and pricing controls.
• Partner with Commercial and Finance leaders to operationalize pricing strategies and commercial objectives.
• Provide guidance on complex pricing decisions, exceptions, and non-standard commercial arrangements.
• Monitor pricing performance, compliance, and operational effectiveness, driving corrective actions as needed.
• Develop reporting and performance metrics that provide visibility into pricing outcomes, exceptions, cycle times, and policy adherence.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance pricing governance and processes to support business growth and changing market needs.

Renewal & Annual Pricing Execution

• Lead the operating framework for customer renewals and annual price increase programs, from planning through execution.
• Coordinate cross-functional planning, communications, approvals, and execution activities to ensure consistent and effective implementation.
• Ensure contractual obligations, customer considerations, and business objectives are appropriately reflected in pricing actions.
• Drive ongoing improvements that increase efficiency, automation, accuracy, and customer experience.

Pricing Systems, Data & Controls

• Serve as the business owner for pricing processes across Salesforce/CPQ, Oracle Fusion, and related commercial systems.
• Define pricing system requirements and partner with Technology teams to enhance pricing capabilities, automation, and integrations.
• Maintain a strong pricing control environment, including governance standards, data integrity, audit practices, and system validations.
• Lead initiatives to improve pricing data quality, reduce manual workarounds, and strengthen operational scalability.

Process Excellence & Transformation

• Develop and execute a roadmap for pricing operations excellence focused on simplification, automation, scalability, and risk reduction.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve pricing processes, controls, and overall business performance.
• Leverage data, stakeholder feedback, and industry best practices to identify opportunities and drive sustainable improvements.
• Support adoption through effective change management, training, communication, and process documentation.

Business Partnership & Leadership

• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on pricing governance, operations, process design, and execution.
• Build alignment across Commercial, Finance, Operations, Customer Success, Technology, and Data teams.
• Translate strategic business objectives into pricing capabilities, operational requirements, and scalable solutions.
• Drive accountability and results through influence, collaboration, and effective stakeholder management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in pricing, revenue operations, commercial finance, business operations, internal audit or related disciplines.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional processes, governance frameworks, or business transformations.
• Strong understanding of pricing operations, controls, data, systems, and commercial processes.
• Experience with CRM, CPQ, ERP, and pricing technologies; Salesforce/CPQ and Oracle Fusion preferred.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders, lead through ambiguity, and drive change without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed, up to 10%
