Industrial ElectricianBunge in Emporia, KS is looking for an Electrician for our soybean processing facility. This position is responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of production equipment in a multi-purpose soybean processing facility. Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.Position Details:Monday - Friday, 7a-4p, with an hour unpaid lunch break.Must be willing/able to work after hours and weekend as needed.Starting pay rate: $36.97 an hourWhat You'll Be Doing:Maintain plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair maintaining all automation throughout the facility (electric circuits of 480VAC or less)Troubleshoot and repair high voltage lighting, variable frequency drive (VFD) and alternating current / direct current (AC/DC) systemsPerform general electrician tasks including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wireUtilize the integrator to assign IP addresses to new equipment and to work with ladder logicTroubleshoot and repair Programmable Logix Control (PLC) (Allen-Bradley) systems like, Logix ControlsTroubleshoot and repair AC motor starter circuitsCheck output on DC controllers and replace printed circuit boards when neededTroubleshoot, locate, test, identify, or diagnose electrical malfunction and then adjust, repair, or replaceCalibrate and/or troubleshoot process instrumentationInspect for conformity to industry standards or specificationsRebuild, repair and replace damaged, defective, or worn partsMaintain a clean and orderly work area and remove material and equipment from job sitePerform miscellaneous job-related duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:3-5 years of experience or schooling in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs and electrical equipmentHigh school diploma or GEDExperience with mass flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, burner control systems, and other like equipment found in an automated plantAbility to work in a safety conscious environmentMust be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing EnglishAbility to read and understand ladder logicAbility to determine needs for installing new equipmentAbility to follow, interpret, and read blueprints or schematicsBenefits:Health Benefits – Offering choices so you can enroll in medical, dental and vision plans that meet your individual needs.401(k) Retirement Plan – Investing in your future with an automatic 5% company contribution AND matching up to 4% of your contributions.Family Support – Supporting new and growing families by providing 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave and fertility coverage.Tuition Reimbursement – after one year of service, eligible for tuition expenses reimbursement of up to $5000 per year.Vacation time- We value work-life balance and offer a generous vacation program.
