A part-time, contract position is available for a certified Special Education Teacher with expertise in mild/moderate disabilities. This role supports a diverse group of 6th–12th graders in the Study Skills program during the NSY 26/27 school year.

In this flexible position, you’ll work 20–28 hours per week, ideally fully onsite, but a hybrid arrangement is possible. Attendance in person every Wednesday is required to provide direct instruction to the Study Skills class—this day also includes invaluable time collaborating with colleagues, managing paperwork, and coordinating services. An additional in-person day will be scheduled, with remaining hours completed remotely.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid CTC certification for Mild/Moderate Special Education is mandatory
• Proven experience in special education with grades 6-12 is highly valued
• Skilled in case management and creating individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
• Comfortable working onsite and remotely as needed
• Committed to collaboration with staff and service providers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Teach the Study Skills class every Wednesday, ensuring student engagement and progress
• Manage a caseload of 10 students across grades 6–12
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with educators and support staff for effective service delivery
• Complete paperwork and documentation in accordance with district standards
