Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to ICU patients with a typical patient ratio of 1:2–3
• Manage ventilators, IV drip titration, and continuous telemetry monitoring
• Perform dysrhythmia recognition and management, conscious sedation, and emergency response
• Apply strong neuro critical care skills including NIH Stroke Scale assessment
• Float as needed to Stepdown, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units to care for ICU-level patients
• Work every other weekend, required holidays within the contract, and a minimum of two of the three winter holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
• Proficiency in Epic EHR — no exceptions
• BLS certification from American Heart Association only
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association only
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Must pass a pre-start EKG/telemetry test with a score of 80% or higher (one attempt, no remediation)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum of three years of critical care experience preferred; strong candidates with less experience may be considered
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
